How can the security of our IT network be guaranteed?
Westhive offers you the option of setting up a private VLAN with its own WLAN SSID and its own external IP address on our firewall. In this case, the network is logically separated from our other networks.
Is it possible to connect our company network to the offices of the Westhive team?
If you wish to set up your own VPN-enabled firewall for remote access via VPN, Westhive can assist you with the necessary port forwarding (D-NAT). Please let us know which VPN solution you would like to use and which ports you need for your company VPN, as some ports may already be in use at a particular Westhive location and therefore cannot be made available.
Can we have our own Internet access with our own connection?
Westhive does not offer physical connections. However, you are free to order your own connection, provided that the installation is carried out by a Westhive-approved service provider and you provide the necessary hardware and configuration. Alternatively, Westhive can also provide you with your own network with a separate VLAN.
Can a minimum bandwidth of 100 MB be guaranteed for the Internet connection?
This depends on the location. Westhive locations that support this feature (e.g. Zurich Seestrasse) charge a one-time setup fee of CHF 200 plus a monthly service fee of CHF 199 (excl. VAT). In general, all our Westhive locations have a 1 Gbps FTTO line incl. Business SLA.
We already have IP telephony. Is it possible to keep the existing number?
Yes, this is possible. However, depending on the setup and solution used, an additional port forwarding must be set up by us.
Is there an option for wired internet in the team offices?
A CAT 6/7 connector is available in every team office. Using a switch, you can easily provide additional connections for all desks.
Can we operate our own WLAN?
Unfortunately, this is contrary to Westhive policy. Due to the large number of our members, Westhive cannot allow third party Wi-Fi infrastructure.
What is follow-me printing?
Quite simply, you can send your print jobs from your computer to a single print queue and have them printed from the printer closest to you whenever you want.
As part of your onboarding with Westhive, our community managers will help you set up your personal account for our printing solution. Using an NFC-enabled card (such as your SwissPass) or a mobile device, you can simply log in at any print station by holding the card up to the card reader and starting the print job.
By the way: You can also scan at our print station. The scans are automatically sent to your registered e-mail address.
