Zug, 13 September 2022 – On Thursday 8 September, Westhive and the Metall Zug Group hosted the opening of the new Westhive coworking location on the premises of the Zug Tech Cluster. Around 100 invited media representatives and guests from industry and the service sector from the Zug region were able to see for themselves how a former industrial hall with a shed roof has been transformed into a modern coworking space.
The first guests arrived at 4pm for guided tours of the space. On more than 2000 m2, around 30 private offices and some open space workstations have been created on the 1st and 2nd floors of the building directly under the shed roof. The interior of the former industrial hall has been completely renovated, taking care to preserve the spacious industrial character of the building. The two floors are connected by a spiral staircase in raw steel and an airspace.
In addition to the offices, the coworking space has several meeting rooms of up to 60m2 that can also be booked externally, two kitchenettes, various lounges, a fitness room and a roof terrace with views over the area and the mountains. The first coworking members moved into their new offices at the beginning of September.
The new Westhive location was officially opened at an event last Thursday. Ivo Langenick from Tech Cluster Zug thanked everyone involved in the project and symbolically handed over the hall to the Westhive team. Claus Bornholt, one of the founders of Westhive, thanked Tech Cluster Zug for the cooperation during the project. At the same time, he emphasised the importance of the economic region of Zug for the further development of Westhive and hinted that this might not be the only Westhive location in the region.
During the networking apéritif that followed, guests had the opportunity to learn more about the coworking space and exchange ideas about the future of the office and other topics.
Westhive Zug at Oberallmendstrasse 18 is now open to all interested parties for workspace and meeting room bookings.

The two-storey, light-filled and fully air-conditioned shed hall offers flexible workspaces in high-quality private offices.
