Virtual Office
Virtual Office in Zug
A business address for your company
A domicile address in Zug – often simply referred to as a business address – is the address at which your company can be contacted at its registered office and which is entered in the Commercial Register.
At Westhive, you can obtain such an address at the Tech Cluster Zug, located at Oberallmendstrasse 18, 6300 Zug, complete with your own postbox and 10 days’ access per month to the open-plan office, from CHF 438 per month.
This service is designed for holding companies, investment companies and internationally active firms that wish to establish their domicile in the canton of Zug but do not work on site every day.

Postal service
How you receive your letters and parcels
Post is delivered to Oberallmendstrasse 18 and ends up in your postbox at Westhive.
With the Postservice option, we collect it and forward it – either physically or digitally – whichever you prefer.
Which option you choose depends on how often you’re in Zug: those who regularly make use of the 10 open-space days often collect their post themselves, whilst those based abroad can have it scanned or forwarded.

How to establish your virtual office
Here’s how it works, step by step
- Choose a plan. Virtual Office at Zug Tech Cluster, from 438 CHF per month, with or without a postal service.
- Book. Directly via the booking page or by speaking to us if you need more than just the address.
- Receive your address. You’ll be given the business address Oberallmendstrasse 18, 6300 Zug and your PO box.
- Clarify the Commercial Register. If your trust company is discussing the entry, check with us how it can be made without a c/o address and what supporting documents the Zug Cantonal Commercial Register Office requires for this.
- Get started. 10 days per month in the open-plan office, meeting rooms by booking, access to all eight Westhive locations (please give advance notice).

Alternatives to a virtual office
When another solution might be more appropriate
- Anyone who needs a workspace every day. In that case, a Fixed Desk or a Team Office at the same location is the right option.
- Anyone who is on-site regularly for more than 10 days a month. Work out the days – once you reach a certain threshold, a monthly Flexible Desk or Fixed Desk works out cheaper.
- Anyone who needs to demonstrate to authorities or customers that they have their own, self-contained premises and their own staff at their registered office. According to the Zug guidelines, this constitutes a separate legal domicile and requires a Team Office, not just an address; for example: recruitment agencies.
- Anyone who simply wants an address without ever needing to be contactable there. This is not a question of price, but of the Commercial Register: the entry must be accurate.

Why Westhive
Why companies choose us for their virtual office in Zug
The Zug Canton’s business promotion agency currently quotes a total tax rate on corporate profits of 11.8 per cent, including federal, cantonal and municipal tax, and highlights a long tradition of low taxation. What actually applies to your company depends on the individual circumstances and should be handled by your accountancy firm.
In addition to this is what an address on paper doesn’t reveal: the Zug Tech Cluster is a converted industrial hall with ceiling heights of up to 7 metres, a roof terrace and links to public transport. When your investors, customers or partners drop by, you’ll be sitting in a proper, prestigious office rather than at a postbox.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I register a holding company with a registered office address in Zug?
Yes. Like any legal entity, a holding company requires a legal domicile – that is, an address at which it can be contacted at its registered office (Art. 2(b) HRegV). If you do not rent your own premises in Zug, the address will be entered as a c/o address, and the Commercial Register requires a declaration from the domicile provider for this (Art. 117(3) HRegV). Please speak to us before you submit your application.
What are the requirements for a registered office address when incorporating a public limited company (AG) in Zug?
The address must include the street name, house number, postcode and town or city name, and the company must be contactable at that address (Art. 117(2) HRegV). If the company does not have its own premises, it must use a c/o address accompanied by a declaration from the domiciliary agent (Art. 117(3) HRegV). In addition, there are the requirements under company law: share capital of at least 100,000 Swiss francs (Art. 621(1) OR), with at least 20 per cent of the nominal value of each share and, in any event, at least 50,000 Swiss francs paid up (Art. 632 OR), and a person authorised to represent the company who is resident in Switzerland and is a member of the board of directors or a director (Art. 718(4) OR).
How much does a registered address in Zug cost per month?
At Westhive, from 438 CHF per month, excluding 8.1% VAT. This includes a business address, a postbox and 10 days per month in the open-plan office. The postal service is optional; prices are subject to change.
How does mail handling work at the virtual office in Zug?
Post is delivered to Oberallmendstrasse 18 and ends up in your postbox. With the Postservice option, we collect it and forward it – either physically or digitally – in case you’re unable to be there.
I want to set up a holding company in Zug from Germany. Where can I get a registered office address?
At each of our eight locations, in Zug within the Tech Cluster. Two points that are often overlooked by those abroad: the registered office must be registered in the political municipality – in this case, Zug (Art. 117(1) HRegV) – and the company must be able to be represented by a person who is resident in Switzerland (Art. 718(4) OR). The address resolves the first point, but not the second.
Can I rent a business address in Zug for setting up a company?
Yes. You book the Virtual Office at the Zug Tech Cluster and are provided with a business address and a postbox. Before registering with the Zug Cantonal Commercial Register Office, check with us and your trust company to find out which documents are required for the registration.
Do I also need a workplace in Zug?
Not necessarily – 10 days per month in the open-plan office are already included. Anyone who needs more can switch to a flexible desk, a fixed desk or a team office at the same location.
How soon can I start using the address?
Immediately upon signing the contract. Please note, however, that official registration with the authorities may take around 3 to 4 weeks.
For whom is a virtual office not the right membership?
For anyone who needs a workspace on a daily basis, who is on site for more than 10 days a month on a regular basis, or who, for regulatory or business reasons, needs to demonstrate that they have their own premises and staff at their registered office. In the latter case, a Team Office is the right solution.
